I’ve been gettin’ real reckless.

Worried I won’t have enough time to check everything off of my checklist.

And I’m kinda scared that nobody sees me as any sorta worthwhile emotional investment.

Can’t really blame em, I know that I’m a handful.

I make more problems for myself than I ever planned to.

So turn around before I see you and gather up the courage that I need to come and meet you, I’m see through.

But nothin’s set in stone, a friend once told me, “Let it come to you or let it go.

So I’ve been playin’ my part.

But everybody’s doing their best to take a piece of my heart.

I know that you’re “so sorry” first time that you cheated.

Play it off like you haven’t lived your whole damn life conceited.

I believe it. Knock your little trophy to the ground.

Cause I don’t see the point in sticking around.

The newly crowned king of everything that’s been forgotten.

That’s been beat up and abused, mistreated and downtrodden.

Cut my losses, wrote some raps about my life

And figured I don’t need some friends that got more faces than a pair of dice.

So when it seems like I’m not doing my best to keep in touch.
